Hello Taiwanese Heroes of Sanctuary,

I’m John Hight, the Production Director for Diablo III. I would like to address the recent latency issues some of you have experienced, and to inform you of what we’ve done to resolve this situation.

Thanks to your detailed feedback, our engineers discovered that the recent latency issues were not tied to the game [or to our servers]. We turned our attention to potential network issues, and began working with local ISP companies to find a solution.

We’re happy to report that, with their help, we believe this latency issue has been resolved as of April 15. 

This was a complex and challenging problem that involved many hours of work from staff in our Asia offices and multiple teams here at Blizzard HQ, but the true force behind this solution was the continued support from players like you. We want to thank you for standing by us and working with us. This is a shining example of the power of the Blizzard community.

We appreciate your continued support and enthusiasm. Against players like you, the enemies of Sanctuary don’t stand a chance.
